Meet Dr. Joe Feuerstein
Where Modern Medicine Meets Natural Healing
Meet Dr. Joe Feuerstein, MD — a board-certified family physician who has spent his career building a bridge between conventional medicine and evidence-based natural healing. Known to patients and colleagues simply as "Dr. Joe," he is one of the most respected voices in integrative medicine in the Northeast, recognized as a Castle Connolly Top Doctor and named a Top Doctor by both New York Magazine and Connecticut Magazine.
For 14 years, Dr. Joe directed the Integrative Medicine program at Stamford Hospital — one of the country's few hospital-based, insurance-covered integrative consult services — pairing nutrition, botanicals, acupuncture, clinical hypnosis, and lifestyle medicine with conventional care. Caring for thousands of patients over those years gave him a front-row view of America's biggest chronic health challenges, and a deep conviction that the body, given the right support, has a remarkable capacity to heal.
A Foundation Few Physicians Can Match
Dr. Joe's path to medicine is anything but ordinary. Born in England, he earned his medical degree from the University of London (Guy's and St. Thomas') and trained in general and trauma surgery in Tel Aviv before serving as a combat physician in two elite units of the Israeli Navy — where he still holds the rank of Captain as a reserve officer.
After moving to the United States, he completed his residency in Family Medicine through the Columbia University / Stamford Hospital program, serving as chief resident in his final year, followed by a two-year fellowship in Integrative Medicine under Dr. Andrew Weil at the University of Arizona. He is certified in medical acupuncture and clinical hypnosis, is a licensed homeopathic physician in Connecticut, and today serves as an Assistant Professor of Clinical Medicine at Columbia University in New York City. In 2024, his peers elected him President of the Fairfield County Medical Association, representing nearly 1,000 physicians across the region.
He is also the author of two books on natural health — Dr. Joe's Man Diet and The Cannabinoid Cookbook — and has published and presented dozens of peer-reviewed research articles advancing the field of integrative medicine.
Dr. Joe's Approach at Revival Point
Dr. Joe's philosophy is simple: address the root cause, not just the symptom. Throughout his career he has focused on helping people use food, targeted nutrients, and smart lifestyle changes to support their health — and, where appropriate, reduce their reliance on prescription medications.
That same philosophy is what drew him to Revival Point. His mission here is to translate decades of clinical experience into practical, science-minded guidance — giving people the knowledge and tools to take command of their own health, support their bodies naturally, and feel their best at every age.
